Priorities - Violence against women and girls Concern Update

Dear Resident,

Thank you for taking the local priority survey recently, your ongoing feedback about local issues of concern is vital in order to enable us to target resources effectively. Although you did not raise Violence against women and girls as a concern in your last feedback, this issue has been raised by other members of your local area so we thought you would also like to receive this update.

This week Preston Officers worked closely with our CID colleagues following a report that a unknown male was repeatedly stalking a 16 year old victim and attending her home address.

Through joint working, Preston Officers were able to link this male to other concerning incidents and swiftly identified the suspect effecting his arrest on Preston Road. This proactive response demonstrates our local knowledge and continued commitment to tackling Violence Against Women and Girls.

Thankfully these types of incidents are rare within Preston. However if you have been a victim of crime or have concerns regarding anything linked to Violence Against Women Girls please raise your concerns and we will take action.

We take violence against women and girls incredibly seriously and will do everything in our power to ensure those who commit these crimes see justice.
