Live Facial Recognition Vans (LFR) |

Hello residents and wishing you all the best,
Some of the residents might have spotted our latest crime fighting tool around Brixton Town Centre, we have rolled out the live facial recognition vans that have helped us catch several wanted suspects and sex offenders.
But several members of public have come to us with a concern regarding the vehicles and there are several misinformation about the LFR vans that we would like to clear.
The way our vans work is by taking pictures of peoples faces that walk in range of our cameras, it'll utilise its advance system to compare your face with people we have on our system and when it comes with a negative result it'll delete your image. If you are not wanted by police or on the sex offender registry you have nothing to worry about as the system will not alert us to you. When someone who is wanted does walk by the system will send officers a notification and an image off the subject which then the officers will approach and stop the subject asking for their details to confirm.
These vans will be on and off Brixton, the latest operation was yesterday on the 16th October 2025 and had filled out our custody by the end.
