I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

As part of our ongoing commitment to tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and drug-related offences, our police team has been actively conducting targeted patrols in areas identified as high-risk. During our patrols in Langthorne Park highlighted as a concern zone for both VAWG and drug activity officers encountered a male individual who was found to be wanted for multiple offences, including burglary and theft. The swift and coordinated response by the team led to the successful arrest of the suspect, who is now in custody. The team continue to work hard to keep our community safe.
