Happy Halloween!

Dear Resident,

This week, SNT officers have been visiting various commercial premises in Northolt and Greenford, to remind retailers of their legal obligations regarding firework sales. It is illegal to sell ‘adult’ category 2 and 3 fireworks to anyone under 18 years of age. Sanctions for any shop owners doing this can be significant fines, or even imprisonment for up to 6 months.

The law also says you must not set off or throw fireworks (including sparklers) in the street or other public places. This could incur an on the spot fine of £90.

Halloween can be great fun, but please be mindful of potential dangers. Evenings are dark so please look out for your friends and family, especially small children, when out an about, and crossing the road.
