Dear Residents,
As autumn settles in and the nights grow longer, we’d like to share a few seasonal reminders to help keep our community safe, calm, and connected.
Darker Evenings & Home Security With shorter daylight hours, homes and gardens become more vulnerable to opportunistic crime. Please check that doors, windows, and sheds are securely locked, and consider using timers for indoor lights. If you’re heading away, let a trusted neighbour know.
Fireworks & Animal Welfare Bonfire Night and other seasonal celebrations can be distressing for pets, wildlife, and vulnerable individuals. If you’re planning fireworks, please notify neighbours in advance and follow safety guidelines. Consider quieter alternatives and keep animals indoors during displays.
Road Safety & Visibility Reduced visibility affects everyone drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. Please slow down, wear reflective clothing, and check your vehicle lights. Let’s look out for one another, especially children, older residents, and those with additional needs.
Community Vigilance Whether it’s checking in on a neighbour, reporting concerns, or simply being kind we all have a role to play. Together, we can make our streets safer and more welcoming for everyone.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
