Robbery Suspects Arrested

Good afternoon,

Yesterday evening, officers responded to multiple reports of robberies in Richmond town centre, where victims were threatened and had their mobile phones stolen.

Officers quickly located the suspects, who attempted to flee. With the assistance of an MPS dog unit, the suspects were caught near The Green - including one who thought hiding under a car would help him escape. Safe to say it wasn't his best getaway plan…

Sergeant Wright and PC Moore assisted in detaining one of the suspects.

The stolen property was recovered and returned to the victims. Three suspects have been arrested and remain in custody as the investigation continues.
