Police officers from the Crofton Park Safer Neighbourhoods team were on patrol around their area when they came across a silver Hyundai which was parked up. Officers spoke to the solo driver who appeared nervous about the police presence, changing their story often. Due to this behaviour, Officers from the team decided to complete a search under suspicion of misuse of drugs. During the search, a black purse was found in the drivers door holder. This contained around 7 wraps of white powder in small clear clip bags. Also in the vehicle was a delivery note which allowed police to identify an address, the same address the suspect was sat outside. The suspect was arrested for possession with intent to supply drugs. Officers attended the address on the delivery note with the suspects front door keys and the keys worked on the property. A property search was done by police officers and they managed to find: £8145 in Cash 500+ Further of small bags of white powder One large tub of uncut pure Cocaine The estimated street value of the drugs recovered is believed to be £25,000 or more. A spokesperson for the team stated: "This shows a clear disruption to a very valuable drugs line" "Drug use and supply is one of Crofton parks ward priorities and this is one of many recent arrests for drug supply whereby large amounts of drugs have been recovered by the team" Officers continue to tackle drugs related offences across the South East. | ||
