Counterfeit goods seized off the streets of Southall in a multi-agency operation.

On WEDNESDAY 23rd JULY 2025 - following the previous successful warrants at four different addresses within Charles House - Southall Safer Neighbourhood Teams worked with Trading Standards to execute two warrants on two more shops linked to selling and distributing unsafe and counterfeit goods which has led to around 6 Million being seized. Added to the previous amount of £7.5 Million this makes a huge impact on the organised crime groups who profit illegally. This prevents further income into organised crime and thus removing these groups from Southall and preventing further impact on communities here and abroad. 

Prior to these warrants, police and national trading standards investigation team, led by Swansea Trading standards, identified that counterfeit goods appearing across the UK were originating from within Charles House - Southall. It was established that thousands of these counterfeit goods contain “phthalates” which is a poisonous plastic that poses a health risk to children. These toys as well as other fraudulent items were being sold from the 4 businesses in Southall, then distributed around the whole of the UK with the proceeds equating to millions of pounds, being fed back to organised crime groups within the UAE and Hong Kong.
