SERIAL SHOPLIFTER WITH DANGEROUS WEAPON CAUGHT BY BLACKHEATH POLICE

Officers from the Blackheath Safer Neighbourhoods team identified a serial shoplifter on CCTV committing further offences and breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order.

This CCTV was captured by a local Lewisham Store and within days of identification, officers from the safer neighbourhoods team increased their hunt to locate the suspect. This was successful and the police officers managed to arrest the suspect for:

x3 Breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order
Shoplifting
Possession of an Offensive weapon

The suspect was later charged by the policing team with remand and appeared in front of Bromley Magistrates court on the 29th July where the courts decided to further remand the suspect until September for sentencing.
