Local Priorities Drug dealing/ drug use Concern Update

I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Members of Walpole, Pitshanger and Hanger Hill SNTs were on patrol in the West Ealing area today. A male was noted in Deans Gardens acting in a suspicious manner near some planters. The male has been stopped and searched. Class A drugs were found.

Whilst this took place officers also stopped a male and female who were seen sitting where the above mentioned male was initially seen. Both were searched and during this, the female was found to be in possession of class A drugs.

Both Male and Female were arrested for possession of Class A drugs.

Following further checks the female was further arrested for handling stolen goods.

We are committed to tackling drug dealing wherever we find it. We will keep you updated on our efforts to do this in your area, but if you have any concerns or evidence, it is important you report this as soon as possible.

If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org

We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years, and we want to make sure you have had the chance to have your say. The consultation paper is available online, as well as a survey to let us know what you think. This closes on the 15 September.
