Local Priorities Dangerous driving / speeding Message

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding dangerous driving and speeding, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Speeding Op

Yesterday evening we conducted a speeding op with the transport team and Enfield Town Safer Neighbourhoods Team for Community Roadwatch Scheme after complaints of speeding on Cecil Road and London Road. 6 vehicles were caught speeding and will be processed by TFL.

We are planning to conduct further speeding ops on other roads on our ward that we have been told of speeding. The transport team have a list of streets on Enfield and Haringey borough that they have held operations. Green Dragon Lane and Green Moor Link are two of the streets from our ward that are on their list. The next operation with us will be to target speeding on Old Park Ridings and Vera Avenue. If any residents would like to come along and participate, please let us know.

If someone is driving a motor vehicle, they should always be doing so in a safe and considerate manner. Even momentary lapses in judgement can have life changing or devastating consequences for those in the vehicle or innocent bystanders.
