More arrests

Dear All,

On Thursday 7th August teams of plain clothes officers from our pro-active unit made five arrests on our ward. Those arrested were either in possession of drugs, or in possession with intent to supply. Some of them are familiar members of our local street population with long histories of drug use and anti-social behaviour but others were from outside our ward. We will provide updates on this as soon as we know more about possible charges, etc.

These are complicated intelligence led operations which attempt to disrupt the local drug supply. The intelligence and visual evidence offered by local ward residents often plays a crucial part in identifying those we need to arrest. Thank you for continuing to report but never take unnecessary risks when doing so. The work continues.
