Uninsured Vehicles!

Over the last few days your local officers have been seizing vehicles in the Wembley area with no valid insurance at an alarming rate.

It is the driver's responsibility to ensure they are properly insured to drive any vehicle, whether it's their own or not. This includes making sure the vehicle itself has a valid insurance policy in place.

Please make sure your vehicle has the correct insurance policy in place before driving.

In the UK, driving without insurance carries a minimum £300 fixed penalty and six penalty points on your licence, but can escalate to an unlimited fine, disqualification, and vehicle seizure or destruction if the case goes to court. You can check your vehicle's insurance status using the Motor Insurance Database (MID), and the police can seize vehicles instantly if they are found to be uninsured.
