Prolific shoplifter sentenced to 3 and a half years at Snaresbrook Crown Court

Prolific Chingford Shoplifter was charged with 140 offences of theft and burglary of two supermarkets within Waltham Forest. Stealing £8000 of goods between January and July 2025, terrorising staff members and the community alike. He was sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court last week to 3 ½ years imprisonment. 

A number of anti-social behaviour warnings and community protection warnings were given out to individuals causing anti-social behaviour and a continued nuisance within Albert Crescent over the weekend. The local policing team and Waltham Forest Local authority are working together to eradicate this continued pattern of behaviour, through implementation of charity and medical referrals for support/ diversion and enforcement activity.
