Halloween in Hammersmith and Fulham – Let’s Keep It Safe, Fun and Respectful 🎃Hello With Halloween approaching, your local police team in Hammersmith and Fulham would like to share some friendly reminders to help ensure the celebrations are safe, respectful and enjoyable for everyone. This time of year can bring increased reports of anti-social behaviour, including noise, vandalism, and nuisance knock-and-run incidents. But together, we can keep our neighbourhoods welcoming and festive for all ages.
👻 For Young People & Parents:- Trick-or-treat responsibly – visit homes that are clearly decorated or have lights on.
- Be respectful – avoid loud behaviour, throwing eggs or flour, or causing damage.
- Stay safe – children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult or supervised group.
- Be mindful – avoid costumes or masks that may frighten vulnerable residents.
- Stick to well-lit areas and take care when crossing roads.
🏠 For Residents:- If you’d prefer not to receive trick-or-treaters, display a “No Trick or Treat” poster (available online).
- If you’re happy to participate, keep outdoor lights on to help children know where they’re welcome.
- Report anti-social behaviour or damage by calling 101, or 999 in an emergency.
- Consider checking in on elderly or vulnerable neighbours who may feel anxious during the evening.
