What we've been up to this month:
This month we have focused our efforts towards frequent and varied foot patrols to reassure the public and deter antisocial behaviour on the ward. During these proactive patrols we have consistently tackled ward priority hot spots as well as shifting our attention to incoming reports when received. Here are some notable results:

PC Williams discovered two discarded smart phones and a large sum of cash on the Astley Estate stored by the football cage.

PC Gilbert encountered a male in a mental health crisis who was an active danger to himself. She was able to get him support and recovered their stashed knife from a nearby park.

PCSO Day successfully gave chase and caught a suspect of drug dealing who fled a stop and search in Burgess Park.

The team also came together and collaborated with the local council to remove a group of squatters from a property on the Ledbury Estate.

We're sorry to announce that PC Williams is leaving the team to start the next chapter of his life across the globe in Australia. We know he'll make a great addition to the Australian police and we wish him all the best on his future endeavours. With PC William's departure we are excited to welcome a new officer onto the team, PC Metcalfe! If you happen to spot her while out on the ward be sure to say hello.

These priorities are set during the ward panel meeting.

Colegrove Road & Willowbrook Road - Vandalism and drug dealing.

Northfield House & Peckham Park Road - Antisocial behaviour and drug use.

Avondale Estate & Astley Estate - Antisocial behaviour and drug use.

The next meeting will be held online using Teams on 26/11/2025 at 6:30pm.
