I wanted to provide an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

On 16th December 2025 while on patrol on Finchley High Road, officers from your local neighbourhood policing team apprehended a high harm, prolific domestic violence offender who was wanted on a recall to prison. Thanks to their rapid response, this offender has been taken off of the streets and is now back in prison.

 We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years.
