At this time, there is no information to suggest any related risk or threat locally. Incidents such as this are extremely rare, and authorities in Australia have responded swiftly and effectively. 

We would like to reassure you that your safety remains a priority. Locally The Met Police continue to work closely with partners to monitor any emerging risks, and routine safeguarding and security arrangements in place.

If you and your family are feeling unsettled by the news, it may be helpful to limit exposure to distressing media coverage and to talk openly with children or vulnerable family members.
