Fly Tipping |

|
Fly Tipping is one of Enfield Councils priorities on the borough, this is an issue that effects residents, businesses and landowners.
Operation Waverly was set up by the Edmonton Green Team to help the local authority tackle this. This Operation involves police setting up vehicle stop sites were random vehicles will be pulled in, they will be spoken to by both police and local authority and check on both sides will be carried out. Behind the scenes CCTV cameras are being fitting in hotspot areas. Vehicle seen to be Fly tipping can and will be seized by the local authority and owners will be prosecuted.
This Operation has been highly effective so far on the ward and a follow up message will be send out with the data collected since this Op has been running.
In the new year this initiative will be implemented across the borough in other hot spots.
