EARLY MORNING RAIDS DISRUPT DRUGS SUPPLY IN LEWISHAM

Early morning raids were conducted in the early hours this morning after officers from local safer neighbourhoods teams targeted multiple locations across Lewisham wards. 

Officers from the safer neighbourhoods teams gained information on the dealing of Class A drugs distribution and usage in Lewisham. This information allowed police officers to learn about those selling dangerous drugs and identify those profiting from crime. Multiple warrants were approved by the courts and officers from the safer neighbourhoods teams conducted early morning raids on properties known to be involved with the drugs supply across Lewisham and the south east.

3 Arrests were made during these raids including offences for Possession with intent to supply and possession of offensive weapons. Police state that they found a large quantity of drugs in the properties as well as weapons and large amounts of physical cash suspected to be gained through crime. 

Officers from the safer neighbourhoods teams continue work on this case as it is currently an ongoing investigation.
