Please review the following update regarding Anti Social Behaviour which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.
Dear residents of EDGWARE ,
It was a very busy week for officers from EDGWARE SAFER NEIGHBORHOODS TEAM . - One female was arrested for shoplifting at WENZEL'S from STATION ROAD, EDGWARE . Further checks it turned out that she was wanted as well for robbery from 2024 - On 10th JANUARY whilst on foot patrol PCSO RUSU 7047NW and PCSO PADILLA 7117NW were flagged down by one female staff from LITTLE VEGAS CASINO from STATION ROAD, EDGWARE in relation with one male being drunk, aggressive towards the staff and refusing to leave the location. Whilst officers were inside of location to prevent breach of peace , the male began to be more agitated and aggressive , and officers used force to removed from location. More units were called at location to de escalate the situation and the male was arrested for being drunk and disorderly. Further checks turned out the male was wanted for other two offences. - On 15th JANUARY , PCSO RUSU 7047NW and PCSO PADILLA 7117NW were inside of HOLLAND AND BARRET from BROADWALK SHOPPING CENTRE to check CCTV with two shoplifters which on 13th JANUARY committed shoplifting inside of the shop. After CCTV were checked , officers continued patrols , and in front of BROADWALK SHOPPING CENTRE they came across with one well known male which is homeless ,sleeping outside of the shopping centre and it was accompanied by one female which was sitting next to him. Officers recognised the female as being the suspect from HOLLAND AND BARRETT from 13th JANUARY. Further checks conducted turned out that the female was in breach of CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR ORDER as well. Female was arrested by officers from EDGWARE SAFER NEIGHBORHOODS TEAM.
Officers issued multiple ASB WARNING NOTICES for drinking alcohol in public space , as well for one male riding one E-BIKE with no reflective lights at all on night time. To deter the crime is main priority for officers from EDGWARE and keep community safe. Don't hesitate to report any crimes in the area by calling 999 for emergency and 101 for non-emergency.
