Cranham Safer Neighbourhood Team - Cubs visit |
||
|
Dear residents,
Myself and PC HOBLEY attended a Cranham cubs yesterday evening (24/02/2026)
During the visit, we delivered a crime prevention talk, explaining the role of the police, how we work to keep our communities safe and what young people can do to protect themselves and others. The session covered personal safety, who they can speak to if they are worried about something.
The cubs were shown a section of police equipment, giving them an insight as to what we police officers use in our day to day duties. They also had the opportunity to see a marked police vehicle up close, whereby we activated the blue lights and briefly demonstrated the sirens, which the children were very excited to experience. The children were also able to look inside the vehicle and learn about how it is used to respond to incidents. The engagement was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended and it was fantastic to see such enthusiasm from the children.
Events like this help build positive relationships and trust between the police and the community from a young age.
If you would like us to attend a local school/community group, then please contact us
