Shoplifting Ring Disrupted by Boleyn and Plaistow North Safer Neighbourhood Team

BOLEYN and PLAISTOW NORTH Safer Neighbourhood Teams successfully tackle a shoplifting ring.  Officers from SNT had been conducting patrols of theft hotspots, whilst also holding a community engagement event to promote crime prevention. During this, two prolific offenders who were outstanding for a spate of high value shoplifting incidents, with thousands of pounds of goods stolen from multiple venues along GREEN STREET, were spotted and promptly arrested by PC 2070NE Amelia HARRIS and PC 1332NE Frances PETERSON.  PCSO 7117NE Jason Moss and PCSO 7106NE had initially pointed out these individuals. 

Reflecting a holistic approach to addressing this issue, both individuals have also been issued with a Community Protection Warning and a referral made for help for service users.
