Limehouse ward - Updates |
||
|
Hello Good People of Limehouse.
Please see below a brief overview of recent incidents reported in Limehouse over the weekend, along with some advice to help keep our community safe.
Anti-Social Behaviour We have received reports of drug-related anti-social behaviour at Sailors Place on Commercial Road, where individuals have been gaining access to residential blocks and using bin sheds to take drugs.
Patrols have now been conducted in the area and will continue to deter this behaviour.
There have also been reports of drug use on Beccles Street, which officers are aware of and will continue to monitor.
Theft An attempted bike theft was reported at Limehouse Basin, where a battery was removed from a bike.
We advise residents to ensure bikes are secured with good quality locks and, where possible, stored in secure locations. Consider removing easily detachable parts if leaving bikes unattended for long periods.
Police Activity Your Limehouse Safer Neighbourhood Team have been carrying out high-visibility patrols, particularly in areas affected by anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity.
General Update There have been no significant reports over the weekend, which is positive to see.
General Advice • Ensure communal doors are secure and do not allow unknown individuals access to buildings. • Report ongoing anti-social behaviour so we can build intelligence and take action. • Secure bikes with good quality locks and consider additional security measures. • Report suspicious activity via 101, or 999 in an emergency.
Until Next Update A further update will follow later this week.
