Dear residents, an unattended vehicle was parked illegally partially on footway on busy Putney High Street on double yellow lines today. Traffic wardens issue instant ticket for such offence! Pedestrians had to walk around the vehicle whilst the driver was enjoying his late lunch of chicken pieces and lemonade at a table near the door and admiring the view of his vehicle and heavy traffic driving carefully around it. A SNT PCSO stopped by the vehicle and driver came out refusing to move or provide his details. At the end the PCSO had to ask for a police back up. On hearing that the driver drove off but was intercepted few streets down. It turned out that the vehicle tax was expired and the driver will be fined. |
