Closure Order Secured and Nuisance Neighbour Evicted Following Partnership Working.

For several month, residents reported concerns relating to anti-social behaviour, including drugs usage, unwelcome visitors being invited into the building to use illegal substances into the communal areas, excessive noise and litter being left in the shared areas.

These issues has had a significant impact on the quality of the life of other residents.

Following numerous reports, evidence gathering and working closely with housing officers and Hackney council this has led to the eviction and closure order on the property.

This outcome demonstrates the importance of residents reporting issues and effectiveness of agencies working together to tackle persistent anti-social behaviour and protect communities.

If you are experiencing similar issued please do the following:

Report any anti-social behaviour promptly

If you witness drug use/drug dealing or any other criminal activity, report it to the police through appropriate channels.

Keep communal areas secure by ensuring entrance doors are not propped open and by challenging unknown visitors where safe to do so.

Work with neighbours and housing providers to identify reoccurring issues and support community led solutions.
