Neighbourhood Policing Week – Your Local Update |
||
|
Local neighbourhood policing remains a top priority for us across the Met and is central to how we keep London safe. Over the past year, this focus has helped drive significant reductions in offences such as robbery, bicycle theft and burglary. As your local Neighbourhood Inspector, I’d like to share some recent activity carried out by your Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT): Over the past two days: Proactive and partnership work: These examples represent only a small part of the daily work undertaken by your neighbourhood policing teams. Our officers are embedded within the community and work around the clock to tackle a wide range of issues—from anti-social behaviour and theft through to serious crime and violence. They also work closely with Response Teams who attend emergency incidents. Our approach is rooted in partnership and problem-solving. By working alongside local authorities, businesses and community groups, we aim not only to address immediate concerns but also tackle the underlying causes of crime and deliver long-term solutions. Thank you for continuing to engage with us on Met Engage. We are here to support you—if there are issues affecting your area, please do get in touch. | ||
