Hello Residents,

With the school summer holidays now here, we would like to wish everyone a fun, enjoyable, and safe break.

Whether you're spending time with family, meeting friends, travelling, or enjoying local parks and attractions, please keep the following safety tips in mind:

☀️ Stay Safe in the Sun

Wear sunscreen and stay hydrated, especially during hot weather.

Seek shade during the hottest part of the day and look out for young children and vulnerable family members.

🚲 Be Safe When Out and About

Always wear a helmet when cycling or using scooters.

Use pedestrian crossings where available and take extra care near roads.

Keep valuables out of sight and secure when visiting busy locations.

🏊 Water Safety

Only swim in designated safe areas.

Never leave children unattended near water.

Be aware of currents, deep water, and changing weather conditions.

🏠 Home Security

Lock doors and windows when leaving your home.

Avoid advertising holidays or time away from home on social media.

Ask a trusted neighbour to keep an eye on your property if you are away.

🌳 Respect the Community

Dispose of litter responsibly and help keep public spaces clean.

Be considerate of neighbours, particularly during evenings and late at night.

Report any anti-social behaviour to the relevant authorities.

📱 Online Safety

Encourage children and young people to stay safe online.

Remind them not to share personal information with people they do not know.

Speak openly about online activities and social media use.
