Arrest of Prolific Burglar

Here’s an update on burglary locally.

This morning at around 1125hrs the Dalston team saw a male in Colvestone Cresent who was wanted for a Recall to Prison in relation to a shoplifting offense which occurred on the 24th July. He rode off from officers and after a quick foot and cycle chase between the Neighbourhood Team and our Emergency Response colleagues, he was detained in Sandringham Road. It has since transpired that he is also wanted for questioning in relation to a Burglary that occurred in Sandringham Road earlier this month.

Across London, we’re now arresting more than 1,000 extra criminals every month and seeing local crimes like burglary, robbery and theft start to fall, with ‘neighbourhood crime’ down 14%.
