Community Alert - Suspicious Behaviour Around Solent Rise

Good Morning,

We have received reports of a suspicious male in the Solent Rise area who has been seen attempting to open vehicle doors. At this time, we are encouraging residents to remain vigilant and report any similar incidents or suspicious behaviour.

Please help reduce the risk of theft from vehicles by following this crime prevention advice:

Always lock your vehicle, even when parked outside your home.

Remove all valuables from your car, including bags, wallets, mobile phones, and loose change.

Do not leave items on display, as they may attract opportunist thieves.

Check that your vehicle is secure before leaving it unattended.

Consider additional security measures, such as steering wheel locks, pedal locks, or vehicle tracking devices.

Park in well-lit areas where possible and consider installing CCTV or motion-activated lighting if parking at home.

If you have CCTV, Ring doorbell footage, or witness anyone trying vehicle doors or acting suspiciously, please report it to the police and retain any footage.
