Cracking down on street crime in Beam Park Ward |

The Met is cracking down on street crime, like people doing drugs and drinking on the street. The Met is continuing to crack down on neighbourhood crime, including drug use, street drinking, motor vehicle crime, burglary, robbery and theft. We've put hundreds more officers on the frontlines of community crime-fighting teams across London, increasing visible patrols in the right hotspots so we can deter and catch criminals, including through the use of new technology such as live facial recognition, drones and e-bikes. We are now arresting more than 1,000 additional criminals every month, and local crimes such as burglary, robbery and theft are beginning to fall, with neighbourhood crime down by 14%. If you have concerns about drug dealing, street drinking, suspicious vehicles, or motor vehicle crime in your area, please report them to us. Information provided by residents helps us target patrols and enforcement activity where it is needed most.
