Violence against women and girls - Community Engagement Event 3rd of December 1730 - 1900

I wanted to provide an update regarding violence against women and girls, which members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Community Engagement Event

A community engagement stall in support of the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) campaign, aimed at promoting a safer and stronger community. The event will provide crime prevention advice, information on local support services, practical personal safety guidance, and an opportunity for residents to discuss concerns, ask questions, and share ideas.

This engagement seeks to raise awareness of VAWG, encourage community participation, and highlight available support networks while promoting the campaign message of respect, equality, safety, and a future free from violence.

We take violence against women and girls incredibly seriously and will do everything in our power to ensure those who commit these crimes see justice. Please visit our website for the latest advice and guidance. If you have been the victim or have witnessed a crime, it is very important that you report this as early as possible. We also provide advice for everyone on how to keep one another safe.

We want your help to shape the future of policing across London. We are seeking your views on our new inclusion strategy to ensure that the Met is a police service that is trusted, representative and more effective at keeping London safe. You can have your say on our Inclusion Strategy consultation which runs until Thursday 26 November.
