Rick was out with Heath SNT's Sam this evening, which saw lower Rush Green visited along with most of the Parkside beat (est. 6.98 miles).

The Eastbrookend Country Park (p) was followed by Eastbrook Drive (4.49pm), Great Cullings (5.19pm) and all of Parish Fields (5.25pm), with Sam helping rescue a shrub-stranded football on the ‘flower estate’.

Harveys Lanes (6.57pm) and Thorntons Farm Avenue were up next before venturing through Central Park to check in on Wisdons Close (7.21pm, p) and Alex Guy Gardens off Wood Lane.

In the Parkside area, patrols included Luke Allsopp Square (7.38pm, p), Woodshire Road, Tony Rawson Way and Highland Avenue, along with Home (8.22pm) and Grove Gardens, Fir Tree Walk (8.29pm) and Ely Gardens.

It was then back past the May and Baker Social Club to wrap up the 4-and-a-half hour patrol.
