🎃 Halloween Safety Message from Your Local Neighbourhood Police Team 🎃 |
As Halloween approaches, we want everyone to enjoy the celebrations safely, responsibly, and respectfully.
👻 If you're trick-or-treating, stay with friends or family, stick to well-lit areas, and only visit homes that appear to be taking part. 🚗 Motorists are reminded to take extra care, as there may be increased numbers of children and young people on the streets after dark. 🏠 Please respect residents who do not wish to participate in Halloween activities. Avoid knocking on doors with no decorations and do not engage in prank behaviour that may cause alarm or distress. 🎆 If attending a fireworks display, always follow organisers' instructions and supervise children closely. Where possible, attend organised displays rather than setting off fireworks at home. 🔥 Fireworks should never be thrown, aimed at people, vehicles, animals, or property. Misuse of fireworks is dangerous and may result in police action. 🐶 Remember that fireworks can be distressing for pets and vulnerable residents. Please be considerate of your neighbours when celebrating. 📞 Any anti-social behaviour, criminal damage, or dangerous use of fireworks should be reported to police via 101, online, or 999 in an emergency. Your local neighbourhood officers will be carrying out high-visibility patrols throughout the Halloween and Bonfire Night period to help keep our community safe. Have a safe and enjoyable Halloween and remember to celebrate responsibly. 🎃👮 | ||
