Good Evening Becontree, 

A closure notice has been served at a property in Becontree after concerns surrounding anti-social behaviour were raised by the local community. 

As a result of police, council teams, and residents working together, the notice was served at 49a Haydons Road, Dagenham by Becontree Neighbourhood Policing Team, on 2nd November 2026.  The team will be returning to Barkingside Magistrates Court on the 5th November 2026 to seek a full closure order over a 3-month period.

The Closure Notice has been put in place to address issues of cuckooing, a crime in which a vulnerable person’s home is taken over by individuals and repurposed as a base for criminal activity. 

Anti-social behaviour is consistently raised as a priority issue, and we are determined to crackdown on offenders.
