Bow East Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Taking place around car parks and basketball court near Vic Johnson House and in car parks, and basketball court between Lefevre Walk and Legion Terrace. Speeding and Vehicle offences Vehicles driven with excess speed on Morville Street, Mostyn Grove and St Stephens Road and failing to give way to pedestrians crossing at the junction of Saxon Road. E-Scooters and E-Bikes being driven dangerously on pavements along Roman Road. Issued 03 December 2025	Road Traffic operation targeting e-scooters and e-bikes to stop and seize offending vehicles and educate road users. Actioned 11 March 2026
Burglary and vehicle based ASB Increase in burglary and theft offences, mainly pedal bike thefts along the A12 corridor. Vehicle based ASB - cars with modified exhausts being driven with excess speed. Vehicle occupants discarding Nitrous Oxide canisters.
