Mile End

Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Mile End Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at MileEnd@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

ST PAUL'S WAY / BAYTHORN STREET - Reports of anti social behaviour from individuals in vehicles, travelling at excess speed and driving in a reckless manner. Reports of individuals using drugs in the area and loitering / trespassing in residential blocks.

Issued 17 July 2026

Mile End SNT continue to conduct regular proactive patrols in the area, engaging with individuals that are causing anti social behaviour and committing criminal offences. More specific activity will be updated as and when patrols occur.

Actioned 17 October 2026

MOSSFORD STREET / HAMLETS WAY / SOUTHERN GROVE - Residents have reported individuals engaging in anti social behaviour - driving vehicles at excess speeds, playing loud music late at night and into the early hours. Residents have also reported individuals involved in drug use, loitering in the area.

Issued 17 July 2026

Officers have conducted proactive patrols in the HAMLETS WAY area, resulting in a penalty notice for drug related offences and arresting a 2nd male who was wanted for 3 x drug related offences. Patrols will continue in these areas, working along side partners such as Park Guard and Tower Hamlets Enforcement Officers to provide reassurance and disrupt criminality and anti social behaviour.

Actioned 17 October 2026

HIND GROVE & CANTON STREET - Residents report individuals engaging in drug use in the area and committing anti social behaviour.

Officers from Mile End SNT will conduct intelligence led patrols in the affected areas, focusing on patrols in the evening and engaging with partners such as Park Guard. Residents are encouraged to report offences to assist officers with times and possible offenders.
