Camden Square

Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Camden Square Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at CamdenSquare@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

ASB
Tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) Addressing reported issues in enclosed communal areas and open spaces – A focus on in the environs of Camden Square will see a reduction of reported incidents.

Issued 01 March 2026

Our regular high-visibility patrols will continue. We continue to work collaboratively with stakeholders and partners to reduce this type of offending. Where appropriate, officers will issue Community Protection Notices, Community Protection Warnings, and ASB warnings.
An increase in ASB warnings has already had a positive impact in the affected areas. We will maintain close engagement with residents to tackle these issues.

Burglary
Reducing offences, protecting homes, and give residents peace of mind through visible policing and strong community engagement.

Issued 01 March 2026

• Targeted patrols based on intelligence and crime trends to focus on the areas most at risk. Using High-visibility patrols to deter offenders and reassure the public. In addition to this, using our Plain-clothed capability we will identify and disrupt criminal activity.
• Further support for victims, including reassurance visits and practical crime prevention advice.
• Community engagement, using meetings, leaflets, and engagement tools to raise awareness and encourage reporting.
• Working with stakeholders and Ward Panel Members to strengthen prevention and share information.

Cycle Safety/Enforcement
We will enforce regulations on the use of e-scooters and e-bikes on roads and within open spaces in the environs, noting concerns around Camden Square and Agar Grove. Our focus also includes addressing cyclists riding on pavements. To promote cycle safety across the ward, enforcement of Automatic Traffic Signal (ATS) violations will remain a key priority.

Issued 01 March 2026

Officers will carry out operations at identified hotspots and engage directly with both cyclists and motorists. We will work closely with our Roads Policing colleagues to address safety concerns related to motorists, e-bikes, and e-scooters.
Individuals using e-bikes or e-scooters on public roads or in public spaces where this is not permitted or operating such items that do not meet legal requirements, risk enforcement action. This may include fines, licence endorsements, prosecution, and the seizure of the item.
