Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Violence Related Priority

Preventing violence against women and girls by identifying known hotspots. High visibility patrols will be conducted by ward officers, engagement and enforcement activities will take place.



Retail Theft

Work to address the increase in shoplifting offences in Hampstead Town

SNT Officers have faciliated a community group to better share intellegience and crime prevention advice. A prolific offender has been issued with a Community Protection Notice Warning, banning them from the ward.

ASB Motor Vehicles

Tackle the increase in ASB by delivery mopeds operating in and around Back Lane, NW3. This will involve targeted operations, enforcement activities and engagement with riders.

Regular enforcement activities have taken placed in conjuction with the Met's Road Traffic units. The SNT have written to businesses which have contributed to the increase in the presence of delivery mopeds to drum up support. In addition, officers have seized mutiple mopeds and an offending business was subject to licensing enforcement action.
