King's Cross

Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

King's Cross Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at KingsCross@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Combatting Violence Against Women and Girls – Intelligence led local policing and partnership working with Camden Council and other partners to increase patrols around the affected area's.

Issued 01 September 2026

Increasing patrols in the hot spot crime area's.
Working with local partners to deliver education to residents and visitors to the ward in relation to VAWG crime prevention.
The team regularly conduct crime prevention events at various locations around the ward

Actioned 01 September 2026

tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB) and drug-related activity within Argyle Square and the surrounding roads through the continued delivery of Operation Argyle. This will focus on reducing crime, increasing public confidence, and improving the quality of life for residents, businesses, and visitors. By identifying and targeting individuals involved in drug use, drug supply, and persistent ASB, Kings cross SNT aim to create a safer environment, deter criminality, and address the community concerns that have been consistently raised within the area.

Issued 01 September 2026

To achieve these objectives, SNT will work closely with key partners including the British Transport Police (BTP), Camden Council, and Community Safety Enforcement Officers (CSEO) to deliver a coordinated problem-solving approach. Priority actions will include conducting joint operations and intelligence-led enforcement activity, increasing high-visibility and enhanced patrols within hotspot locations, and taking robust action against offenders through appropriate enforcement powers. We will also explore opportunities to increase CCTV coverage in and around Argyle Square to improve monitoring, support investigations, and deter criminal behaviour. Alongside enforcement, we will continue to engage with local stakeholders and partners to ensure a sustained response that addresses the root causes of ASB and drug-related issues in the area.

Actioned 01 September 2026

theft from a person and theft relating to vehicles. includes pickpocketing, phone snatches and luggage thefts.

Issued 01 September 2026

To address this issue effectively, we are working closely with Camden Council and the Euston Town Centre Team to deliver a coordinated approach to crime prevention and enforcement. Through regular information sharing, joint problem-solving meetings, and combined operations, we are identifying emerging trends and targeting locations that are most vulnerable to theft offences. Working alongside our partners, we will continue to improve crime prevention measures, increase high-visibility patrols, promote public awareness campaigns, and develop environmental improvements where necessary. This partnership approach ensures that enforcement activity is supported by long-term preventative measures, creating a safer environment for residents, businesses, commuters, and visitors throughout the area.
