We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Arsenal Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Violence Against Women and Girls Designated officers patrolling in and around the Emirates Stadium during match days. Officers also briefing both male and female staff and stewards before each match, providing resources on how to report and receive support, education on what VAWG is and encouraging them to report incidents. Issued 26 January 2026	Dedicated officers to assist with policing inside and outside the stadium. Briefings with catering staff and stewards. Officers to engage with female fans outside of the stadium. Patrols after the games to provide reassurance particularly with evening games. Actioned 30 April 2026
Gillespie Park ASB Increased reports from residents and council that Anti Social Behaviour is occurring in the park and the surrounding areas. Issued 26 January 2026	Officers to increase hi-visibility patrols using the a mixture of ‘engagement and proactive patrols. This will including joint working with relevant partnerships. Actioned 30 April 2026
Drug induced ASB Increased reports and complaints that drug users are congregating around the Emirates Stadium to use drugs and cause ASB. Issued 26 January 2026	High viability patrols, days of action, officers will work with Community safety officers and Arsenal to deter this. Officers will utilise ASB powers when necessary to mange those causing harm in the area. Actioned 30 April 2026
