Herne Hill & Loughborough Junction Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

High visibility patrols combined with plain clothes patrols. Utilise temporary CCTV cameras. Deal robustly with offenders when they are identified. Ensure that there is a focus on drug taking which often fuels acquisitive crime. Actioned 30 April 2026 |

Increase high visibility patrolling particularly at peak hours, improve the usage of community protection warnings and notices. Identify and prosecute those who deal drugs to people in our community. Offer drugs diversion schemes to those we engage with Actioned 30 April 2026 |

Burglary Issued 11 November 2025 |
Increase high visibility patrols to deter offenders, ensure that target hardening visits take place within our community, especially after an offence has been committed in the area. Highlight property marking schemes. Actioned 30 April 2026 |
