We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Aldborough Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Violent Related Priority Prevent violence around Newbury Park Station. Focus on Violence against women and girls (VAWG) Issued 25 February 2026	High visibility patrols around the location - including car park areas, alleyways and the underpass. Officers have also conducted regular crime prevention stalls in relation to violence against women and girls (VAWG). Actioned 30 June 2026
Drug Dealing and using in Footpath 93, Newbury Park The local community have reported drug use and street drinking along Footpath 93. Issued 25 February 2026	Aldborough SNT have been working with the local resident association and land operators at the location. The hedges have been cut back to improve visibility, trees have been lopped and litter and waste have been removed from the location. An application has been made for solar lighting to be installed at the footpath. Patrols take place regularly in order to deliver our promise of patrolling open spaces to prevent issues relating to Violence against women and girls (VAWG). Actioned 30 June 2026
Burglary Reduce burglary offences within the ward Issued 25 February 2026	Increased high visibility and plain clothes patrols in the location. Residents contacted via Met engage/leafletting and prevention stalls, to provide them with crime prevention advice and information. The team will conduct an Environmental Visual Audit of the location and will report any environmental defects to the local council for them to action. Actioned 30 June 2026
