Bowes Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Motor Vehicle Crime: There have been six reported motor vehicle offences during the month of January in and around the Green Lanes Ladder. Antisocial behaviour has been reported on Norfolk Avenue and the surrounding streets. Officers are aware of the ongoing issues and are conducting regular patrols in the area. Issued 18 October 2025	Reassurance Patrols conducted at regular intervals. Actioned 26 March 2026
Begging/ Vagrancy: A group of vagrants has been active around the Green Lanes Ladder. The ward officers are aware of the situation and are working to identify the individuals involved so that the appropriate CPNs and CPWs can be issued.
