Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Bush Hill Park Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at BushHillPark@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Bush Hill Park Ward Priority 1: Hyde Park Avenue was identified as an area for ASB and drug taking. This was brought to SNT attention by ward panel members who attended the last meeting on the 02/10/2025. This will be shown as ward priority 1 for Bush Hill Park. PMP Reference - PMP/24947/25

Issued 31 October 2025

Patrols will take place within this area and the environs that surround it. Focus will be on a garages section near to the road and towards the cemetery. This will be a mixture of hi visibility and also plain clothes patrols. Although the focus will be ASB there will also a drive to help prevent burglary in the area through crime prevention advice.

Actioned 14 November 2025

Bush Hill Park Ward Priority 2: Village Road/Park Avenue Burglary patrols. Conduct High Visibility Presence. Attended to speak with victims of burglary via reassurance calls, observe for cameras in the vicinity and encourage home owners to forward possible audio visual evidence (via EVIDENCE invite)to police. Engagement via social media (Online Watch Link & X), give crime prevention advice to victims and letting the public aware of related incidents in the area. Getting people to engage in new strategies to improving their home security. PMP Reference - PMP/82924/24

Issued 02 September 2025

Officers from this ward will shortly undergo cycle training, this will give the team more flexibilty to attend and patrol hot spot areas.
Recent night time deployments of the areas have allowed officers to patrol at times when this crime is more likely to be committed.

Actioned 02 September 2025

Bush Hill Park Ward Priority 3: Bush Hill Parade - Continued illegal parking along the parade of shops. Causes nuisance to pedestrians and potential for collisions is increased. PMP Reference - PMP/13634/25

Issued 02 May 2025

Officers will patrol and deal with vehicles under section 59 PRA powers. Increased patrols by traffic wardens, in unison with police to ensure safety. MOPAC funding may be in place for mitigation to be installed. ** Update ** Council are now aware of the issue and there is now scope for potential mitigation to placed here to prevent the parking from happening. This is a work in progress.

Actioned 02 May 2025
