Welcome to Met Engage,

We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.

Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.

This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Northumberland Park Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at NorthumberlandPark@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

Priority Action taken

Reduce Violence With Injury Offences on Tottenham High Road between Roebuck Close and Northumberland Park

Issued 11 December 2025

Northumberland Park Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) will implement a focused approach to reducing Violence With Injury offences through sustained high‑visibility policing within identified hot spot locations. Officers will maintain a strong presence in these priority areas to deter potential offenders, reassure the community, and enable swift intervention when incidents occur.
The team will work closely with specialist police departments to identify, monitor, and target known and repeat offenders linked to violence in the area. This partnership approach will ensure effective intelligence sharing, coordinated enforcement activity, and a consistent focus on the individuals most likely to cause harm.
In addition, Northumberland Park SNT will collaborate with the Local Authority and High Road businesses to strengthen guardianship, improve reporting, and reduce opportunities for violent offending. Engagement with shop owners, managers, and staff will support early identification of emerging issues and help create a safer environment along the High Road.
This combined strategy aims to deter offending, reduce harm, and improve community confidence through visible policing, partnership working, and targeted offender management.

Reduce Robbery offences in the vicinity of Northumberland Park Station

Issued 11 December 2025

Northumberland Park Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) will proactively target robbery offences through a combination of high‑visibility and plain‑clothes policing tactics. Officers will conduct patrols on foot, on bicycles, and in marked and unmarked vehicles to increase coverage and ensure flexible deployment across key locations.
The team will work closely with other policing units, including specialist departments, to identify and target known offenders operating in the area. Intelligence sharing and joint operations will support effective disruption and enforcement activity.
Patrols will be strategically timed to coincide with periods when robbery offences are most likely to occur, based on recent trends and intelligence. Additional attention will be given around school start and finish times, ensuring a visible and reassuring police presence for young people and reducing opportunities for offenders.
This combined approach aims to deter offending, support early identification of suspects, and enhance safety and confidence within the community.

Target Drug Supply and Reduce associated ASB in the SALB area

Issued 11 December 2025

Northumberland Park Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) will focus on tackling drug supply and associated Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) across the Stellar, Altair, Lindales and Bennetts Close (SALB) estates. Drug activity in these locations has been strongly linked to ongoing ASB, contributing to community tension and reduced feelings of safety.
To address this, the SNT will conduct targeted patrols, proactive operations, and intelligence‑led enforcement aimed at disrupting drug dealing networks and reducing their presence within the estates.
The team will work closely with the Local Authority to identify opportunities to target‑harden the area—such as improving lighting, securing communal spaces, and designing out locations that enable drug dealing or congregation. This partnership approach aims to create a safer, more resilient environment for residents.
In addition, officers will provide support to vulnerable individuals affected by drug use or exploitation. Through referrals to support services and engagement with partners, the SNT will help divert individuals away from drug‑related lifestyles and towards more stable and healthier pathways.
This combined strategy of enforcement, environmental improvement, and safeguarding aims to reduce ASB, disrupt drug supply, and improve overall community safety on the SALB estates.
