West Green
Welcome to Met Engage,
We're transforming the Met to become a service that truly delivers for you.
Through our new platform Met Engage you can get to know your local officers, help shape how we police your local area and have direct access to key information and advice.
This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.
West Green Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.
To contact to your team about local policing issues, email us at WestGreen@contact.metengage.co.uk or pick an officer to email below. (Please do not use this contact method to report crime, in an emergency always call 999 or you can report crime online at www.met.police.uk or dial 101).

Local Priority Issues
We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:
Priority | Action taken |
---|---|
Local crime statistics and concerns raised at the recent ward panel meeting indicate a significant problem with robbery and theft offences occurring in the Turnpike Lane Station area of the ward. Issued 06 June 2025 |
Operations have already taken place at Turnpike Lane Station making use of knife arches and drugs dogs to target offenders and allow officers to make the most effective use of stop and search powers. Live facial recognition van has also been deployed to the area in days of action to locate wanted offenders in the locality. In May the team deployed the Met Engagement van to raise awareness of the issue and provide the public with crime prevention advice. The team will continue to deploy in the area to detect and deter offending. Actioned 06 September 2025 |
The Milton Road Community Group has recently raised concerns about drug use and supply within the Willow Walk and Milton Road area of the ward. Residents have raised concerns about drug users congregating, collecting and using drugs which is impacting on the quality of life in the area. Issued 06 June 2025 |
The team have increased patrols in the area in effort to deter and detect the behaviour complained about. Those found persistently in the area responsible for the offending behaviour have been targeted with anti-social behaviour warnings. The team have attended a meeting with the local community group to listen to concerns and obtain detailed information on the offending so that patrol times and tactics can be refined to resolve the problem. The team will attend a further meeting on the 30th June at the community centre. Actioned 06 September 2025 |
The recent ward panel meeting indicated a local concern around anti-social behaviour with Lordship Recreation Ground, specifically with alcohol related behaviour around the main gates to the park. Issued 06 June 2025 |
The team are undertaking regular patrols targeting this area of the park and engagement days are taking place on the 22nd and 28th July within the park to raise awareness of the issue, encourage reporting and deter the behaviour. Officers are targeting identified offenders with anti-social behaviour warnings and community protection warnings. If the behaviour persists these can be escalated to community protection notices. A breach of these notices is a crime punishable by a fine. Actioned 06 September 2025 |
The word cloud below represents the issues raised by residents through their Local Matters survey. We take this into consideration along with discussions with stakeholders, ward panel meetings and conversations with the public when setting our key priorities
