This isn't just a platform for us to tell you what we're doing in your area, it's an opportunity for you to tell us what's concerning you most so we can take action on the things that truly matter to you.

Chingford Green Safer Neighbourhoods Team

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Local Priority Issues

We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:

WARD PRIORITY ONE: Tackle retail theft in Station Road. Increase engagement with business managers utilising a joined up approach. Issued 31 October 2025	Operations organised providing high visibility in and around Station Road. Arrest of prolific offenders. Crime prevention advice for businesses - OP Retail packs provided, ensure Safer Neighbourhood Team contact information is current. Joint visits alongside partners from Local Authority have taken place with future patrols planned. Walk and Talk event has been carried out at the venue by ward Inspector and Neighbourhoods Superintendent. Actioned 07 March 2026

WARD PRIORITY THREE: Tackle ASB Regular patrols to take place at identified locations whereby there has been an increase in ASB calls/incidents. Engagement/education with youths causing ASB along with a robust approach to drugs. Issued 31 October 2025	Officers to increase patrols in hot spot areas known for ASB. A flexible approach to tackle the issues is required with night shifts authorised and taking place on a monthly basis pending further review. Actioned 07 March 2026
