West Finchley

Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area or 'ward', supported by additional officers from the wider area.

We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG)

Deterring, detecting and prosecuting offences that involve violence against women and girls, using high visibility targeted patrols in high risk areas and offering safety advice to the public.

Robbery

Prevent and reduce robberies within the Ward

High visibility patrols to deter offending, street briefing with residents to offer crime prevention advice, and plain clothes operations targeting high harm offenders.

Theft from Motor Vehicle

Deter, detect and prosecute offences of theft from motor vehicle within the ward.

Working with partners and using blended overt and covert tactics to deter and disrupt theft from motor vehicle offences.
