Local Priority Issues
We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:
| Priority | Action taken |
|---|---|
|
Target multi agency operations between the Council, Partners and Police on the Craven Park Road to Craven Park Locality to stop, disrupt and arrest those taking part in acquisitive crime linked to prevalent drug dealing and street drinking. Issued 19 November 2025 |
We will continue to patrol the area to be as visible as possible. We will work with partners, such as the council to combat breaches of the Public Spaces Protection Order. We will work in partnership with Harlesden Town Centre Team to address the concerns of the community and ensure we focus on arresting drug dealers and users who cause a misery to local residents through their anti social behaviour and acquisitive crime. We will target repeat offenders with Criminal Behaviour Orders. Actioned 19 November 2025 |
|
Reduce Violence Against Woman & Girls, Violence and Anti -Social Behaviour incidents in the Harlesden Town Centre Locality Issued 19 November 2025 |
We will use data to direct patrols at key times in order that we are visible where our community want us to be. We will work with partners, such as the council to combat breaches of the Public Spaces Protection Order to reduce street drunkenness which can often drive this behaviour. We will work in partnership with Harlesden Town Centre Team to conduct policing operations and utilise specialist equipment such as live facial recognition cameras during specific operations which allow us to intercept managed offenders. Actioned 19 November 2025 |
|
Town Centre Robbery – We will direct patrols to reduce the number of Robberies and knife enabled Robberies taking place in the Harlesden Town Centre, specifically Tavistock Square and the Jubilee Clock locality. Issued 19 November 2025 |
We will conduct targeted overt/covert operations to combat the locations where Robbery has been prevalent. We will target repeat offenders with Community protection warnings/notices and Criminal behaviour orders. Where suitable we will work with our partners and charities in the area to divert and rehabilitate people. We will work with the council and local businesses to target harden the locality and make it harder for criminals to escape justice. Actioned 19 November 2025 |
