Local Priority Issues
We are committed to tackling the issues that matter most to local communities. Based on our conversations with residents, and the issues they have raised with us, our main priorities are:
| Priority | Action taken |
|---|---|
|
Target multi agency operations between the Council, Partners and Police on the Craven Park Road and Manor Park Road Locality to stop, disrupt and arrest those taking part in acquisitive crime linked to prevalent drug dealing and street drinking. Issued 23 April 2026 |
At the Latest Ward panel Meeting the actions against our ward Priorities were discussed against the latest data and Crime maps for Harlesden and Kensal Green. It was decided that more work was required on all of the current Ward priorities. There are a series of operations planned for the locality over the next Month. These operations will utilise the skill sets of officers from across the NW BCU as well as colleagues from the territorial Support group Actioned 23 April 2026 |
|
Direct patrols to reduce Violence against Women and Girls and Anti Social Behaviour Incidents on routes through the Jubilee Clock Section of Harlesden Town Centre. Issued 23 April 2026 |
We will use data to direct patrols at key times in order that we are visible where our community want us to be. We will work with partners, such as the council to combat breaches of the Public Spaces Protection Order to reduce street drunkenness which can often drive this behaviour. We will work in partnership with Harlesden Town Centre Team to conduct policing operations and utilise specialist equipment such as live facial recognition cameras during specific operations which allow us to intercept managed offenders. Actioned 23 April 2026 |
|
Town Centre Robbery – We will direct patrols to reduce the number of Robberies and knife enabled Robberies taking place in the Harlesden Town Centre, specifically Tavistock Square and Harlesden High Street. Issued 23 April 2026 |
We will conduct targeted overt/covert operations to combat the locations where Robbery has been prevalent. We will target repeat offenders with Community protection warnings/notices and Criminal behaviour orders. Where suitable we will work with our partners and charities in the area to divert and rehabilitate people. We will work with the council and local businesses to target harden the locality and make it harder for criminals to escape justice. Actioned 23 April 2026 |
The word cloud below represents the issues raised by residents through their Local Matters survey. We take this into consideration along with discussions with stakeholders, ward panel meetings and conversations with the public when setting our key priorities
